Mestizo Mule
1 ½ oz Mestizo Mezcal Joven
½ oz fresh lime juice
2 oz ginger beer
2 mint leaves
Method: place ice cubes in a mug (copper would be the best) or highball glass. Add Mestizo Joven and lime juice; top with ginger beer. Garnish with mint leaves.
La Mula
1 ½ oz Mestizo Mezcal Joven
¼ oz pomegranate liqueur
¾ tsp Agave syrup
1 oz lime juice
5 muddled blueberries
Method: shake and strain over crushed ice; finish with ginger beer. Serve in a copper mug.
Fresa Fresca
1 ½ Mestizo Mezcal Joven
½ oz rhubarb liqueur
¾ oz lemon juice
¾ oz simple syrup
2 strawberries muddled
Method: shake and fine strain over ice top with lemon lime soda. Garnish with spanked mint sprig and sliced strawberries.
La Uva
1 ½ oz Mestizo Mezcal Joven
1 oz St Germain liqueur
8 -10 red seedless grapes
4 – 6 mint sprigs
juice of ½ fresh lime
Method: muddle grapes and mint. Then add all other ingredients, Mestizo Joven last. Shake with ice and pour into a red wine glass, top with ginger ale. Garnish with mint sprig.
Mestizo Mojito
1 ½ oz Mestizo Mezcal Joven
12 fresh spearmint leaves
½ fresh lime
7 oz club soda
2 tbsp Agave nectar (or 4 tsp. sugar)
Method: muddle spearmint leaves, Agave nectar and lime juice. Add Mestizo Joven. Fill with club soda.
Prickly Pear Mestizo
1.5oz Joven Mestizo
1 oz Prickly Pear concentrate
1 oz Contreau
1 oz fresh lime juice
Shaken and served over ice
